Contrast Accessibility
Every text/background pairing is tested against WCAG 2.1 AA standards (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text). Use only passing combinations for body copy and UI labels.

- Ocean Navy on any light surface — exceeds AAA (15:1+).
- Deep Sea on Ocean Mist or White — AAA compliant (~9:1).
- White on Ocean Navy or Deep Sea — AAA compliant.
- Ocean Navy on G22 Cyan or Teal Mist — AA compliant (~7:1+).
Avoid for Body Text
- G22 Cyan on white or Ocean Mist (~2:1) — fails AA even for large text.
- Teal Mist on light backgrounds — fails AA. Use as a surface, not text.
- Always pair cyan/teal surfaces with Ocean Navy text, never the reverse.
- Use failing combos only for decorative graphics or large icons with labels.

What to look for
- Text remains crisp against its background in every panel — that's because we rely on luminance contrast, not hue.
- The Achromatopsia and High-contrast panels are the strictest tests: if text is readable there, it works for every form of color blindness.
- If a future color is added, drop it into a panel here and verify it remains legible across all six simulations before approving it for text use.
